What Led Me Here: From Broken Wings to BodyTalk

People often ask me how I ended up here—working as a nurse, a BodyTalk practitioner, and someone deeply passionate about whole-person healing. The short answer? I’ve always had a soft spot for the hurt and broken things.
As a little girl, my mother—and my siblings—grew used to me bringing home what others might overlook: a bird with a broken wing, an injured bug, a stray animal tucked carefully into my school satchel. If something was hurting, I wanted to help.
That instinct followed me into adulthood. My first job as a veterinary technician was supposed to be the perfect fit, but life had other plans. I fainted in my very first surgery—turns out being pregnant with my oldest will do that to you! But my fascination with life, healing, and biology never faded. I went on to study genetics, biology, and nursing science, all while raising my growing family.
And then, life changed again. A dramatic car crash left me a quadriplegic for four hours—a moment that redefined everything. It wasn’t the path I would’ve chosen, but it pushed me forward. I returned to college with three of my six children in tow and became a nurse. Through it all, my love for learning never stopped. Nutrition, supplements, growing my own food, exploring integrative healthcare—all became part of my world long before they were "mainstream."
A Mother’s Determination and a Miraculous Discovery
My introduction to BodyTalk wasn’t academic—it was born from desperation. My daughter faced a mental and physical health crisis. Despite countless appointments, endless searching, and every avenue exhausted, no answers came. Like any mother would, I fought for her—I became that relentless, grizzly mama bear determined to carve out a normal life for my girl.
That’s when a neighbor, walking a similar road, mentioned a BodyTalk practitioner. We had nothing to lose and everything to gain. What happened next still amazes me. After BodyTalk sessions, my daughter’s health shifted so dramatically that she started college just one month later.
Seeing that transformation, I couldn’t ignore the pull. I began my own BodyTalk journey and, again, was astounded by the changes in my family—and myself. I knew I had to learn this system, not just for us, but for others who, like me, had felt out of options.
What Is BodyTalk? Listening to the Story Behind the Symptoms
If I could sum up BodyTalk in one phrase, it would be this: Whole Person = Whole Healthcare.
BodyTalk is revolutionizing how we approach health by doing something beautifully simple—we ask your body what’s really going on.
Using biofeedback techniques and structured intuition, BodyTalk practitioners uncover the hidden stories behind imbalance, illness, or pain. Maybe it’s emotional stress. Maybe it’s a breakdown in communication between body systems. Whatever it is, we listen first.
From there, we chart unique "formulas" for each person—think of them like algebra equations, but for the body and mind. These formulas guide us in restoring communication within your body: relinking weak systems, repairing energy pathways, enhancing the function of organs, glands, chakras, and more.
The techniques themselves are gentle yet powerful: tapping the head, chest, and gut (our "three brains"), highlighting areas that need support, and guiding your body to do what it was designed to do—heal, restore, and thrive.
The truth is, our bodies hold remarkable wisdom. We just need to ask the right questions—and listen.
That’s what BodyTalk offers. And it’s what changed my family, my life, and my career forever.
