BodyTalk for Beginners & the Power of Community

If you’ve never heard of BodyTalk before, it might sound unusual. Ask the body questions? Tap the head, chest, and gut? Experience real results? Yes. And it works.

But don’t just take my word for it. Try it. Just try it.

Like the old Dr. Seuss line says: “Try it, Sam I Am! You might like Green Eggs and Ham!” BodyTalk is hard to explain—but easy to feel.

What to Expect as a Beginner

Even a short, 30-minute session can reveal your body’s top priorities—the areas ready for healing right now. It’s not invasive. It’s not overwhelming. It feels natural… like coming home to yourself.

Many beginners also receive simple self-care tools to support their sessions. One of my favorites is the Cortices Technique—a gentle, brain-balancing process that helps restore calm, clarity, and focus. It’s easy to learn and can be done daily to support your well-being.

BodyTalk integrates seamlessly into daily life, helping you feel balanced, grounded, and supported—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Sharing BodyTalk with the World

My mission has always been to help more people experience the peace and healing BodyTalk offers. Over the years, I’ve:  ✔ Written articles for local newspapers  ✔ Hosted community events and educational talks  ✔ Led study groups and supported new students  ✔ Helped bring world-class instructors to my area  ✔ Shared BodyTalk abroad—in emergency rooms, orphanages, and underserved communities

Supporting mental health, suicide prevention, and healthcare in low-income areas is close to my heart. We need more tools, not fewer—and BodyTalk offers a simple, effective way to support those most in need.

As part of the Pacific Northwest BodyTalk Association, I now work with an incredible group of practitioners dedicated to strengthening this community. Together, we’re organizing workshops, supporting new practitioners, and growing awareness.
